Launch Reports

Remember that day you launched that four motor cluster?  Nah, me neither.  That’s why Jeff Coons (and friends) have this page, to remind us of all the great launches we’ve had!

First Launch of 2014, Finally

Due to weather, SoAR hasn’t had a launch of any type for nearly three months, so it was some relief that we finally had a good day for flying at the Mill Springs Academy this past Saturday. It wasn’t well attended, but plenty of rockets took to the air, and Kevin Boyd provides some photographic evidence here.

October SoAR Launch Report

There was a very light turnout to Saturday’s launch at the Mill Springs Academy field, possibly because of the forecast of cold temperatures, or possibly because of confusion over start times (we delayed the start until noon to let the temperatures rise), or maybe people were waiting for the Dragway launch in three weeks.  But the weather turned out quite nice for the afternoon, with temperatures ranging from 50 to 60 degrees and generally mild winds that kept us read more…
