Join us for the June Mill Springs launch is this Saturday at Mill Springs Academy from 9AM – 2PM. The weather should be partly sunny, with a chance of thunder showers and gusty winds of 10+ mph mostly from the northwest

Mill Springs is our low-power field, suitable for rockets that fly no more than 1000 feet or so. When the winds are under 10 mph, with the direction either east or west, you can go a little higher. When the winds are over 10 mph, you may want to keep them to lower altitudes, and either reef your parachutes, or switch to streamers. We recommend a maximum of “D” impulse, but experienced rocketeers can and have flown big rockets with up to “G” power on this field. You never know!
