RocketTalk is the monthly meeting of SoAR. Our new meeting spot is Tom Thurmond’s place in Roswell.
NEW DAY STARTING JANUARY 2024: Second Thursday
We will continue to support the Zoom component of Rocket Talk but still have the ‘in person’ aspect of the meeting.
The meeting is held on the second Thursday night of each month from 7 PM to 9 PM. But if you can’t attend in person, the meeting is also available via the now ubiquitous Zoom platform via one of the big blue buttons on this page!

Zoom is free for attendees to use, so no cost to you there. You can also get it on mobile from the App Store, or on Google Play.
HOW TO MEET WITH ZOOM:
Get the app if you don’t already have it.
Computer audio and video will help to give you the full experience, but if you’d like, you can also call into the meeting on the phone to listen and talk.
For computer audio and/or video, It’s helpful, but not required, to have a headset with microphone so you hear and are heard well, and a computer camera, if you want to show video from where you are.
You can also join Zoom conferences from a smartphone with the Zoom app, available on the Apple app store, or Google Play. You can use your smartphone’s built-in camera with Zoom.
If you’re not meeting regularly on Zoom, It’s best to show up a few minutes early, so you can fix any last-minute technical problems before Rocket Talk starts.
You’ll click the meeting link, and Zoom will have you download and run a helper app to start the teleconference.
You may need to enter the meeting number and password from the meeting invitation to enter the meeting.
Once the meeting starts, your computer audio will be connected, and you’ll have the option to turn on your computer video camera.
